In this paper some experiences of participatory design of solutions to noise problems in schools connected with the last INAD initiatives are shown. In particular it describes the participatory approach in acoustic design of classrooms and other scholastic spaces indoor and in scholastic courtyards.
The interventions reported are: some multifunctional and interactive barriers for noise reduction, some sonorous sculptures in scholastic courtyard for noise masking, and some interventions for acoustic comfort in classrooms. In this frame, INAD represents an opportunity for raise awareness on acoustics issue and for the freedom of access to information through participation.
