As part of the collection of data on existing low-noise pavements, the project involves a series of additional measurements on these pavements in order to measure their residual efficiency over time. At this stage, the measurement protocol to be applied to both this and subsequent monitoring of the special asphalt surfaces of the Life Optimus project has been outlined, and preliminary tests have been carried out at the Massarosa site, where the special paving extended as part of the Life Nereide project is located: the tests experimented with the combined use of microphones and cameras for traffic monitoring in order to measure the pass-by noise of vehicles using innovative methodologies.
